Covid 19 Statement

Dear Colleagues,

We thought it would be a good idea to give you an update on the latest UK Government restrictions and how Covid 19 is affecting our business. Although the situation is potentially changing every day at the moment, the UK is on so called “lockdown” for an initial period of 3 weeks to try and contain the spread of Covid 19. This could easily be extended if the infection rate continues. All shops and public meeting places such as Gyms, swimming pools etc. are closed.

Only food shops, medical care centres and petrol stations are open. We have social distancing in place, so no-one is to stand within 2 metres of each other. Groups of more than 2 people together are not permitted unless they are family. We are allowed to leave our house to exercise (walk, run, walk the dog, buy food or medication etc..) only once a day. Travel to work is forbidden if it is possible to work from home. However essential workers, are allowed to continue (for the moment) if there is a justifiable need.

We therefore have only limited staff in the office (1 – 2 people at the moment) . Could I please ask you to use emails to communicate as these can be easily monitored and relied to, please do not call the office landlines as they cannot be monitored remotely. Most of us here are now able to continue to easily work from home. Therefore we can manage most documentation, correspondence payments etc. remotely. Over the next few weeks it may be that some of our goods that are normally shipped from the UK may be directly delivered from our offices in Germany.

This will of course be subject to any changes in their restrictions. There will of course likely to be delays in delivery and production times as many of our factories are in a similar situation. Many of our customers are in the same position, as are our suppliers so I am sure that none of this is a surprise to you. However it’s important to continue to communicate and support each other in such difficult times.

I wish all of you and your loved ones good health and look forward to coming out the other side of this worrying time as soon as is possible. In the meantime we just have to do the best we can and maybe reflect how easy and comfortable our normal life is J In these times electronic communication is so easy, If you have any questions or just want to talk, please do keep in touch.

Kind regards

Keith Lane
